The band was founded in May 2009. It is presenting modern jazz at its
best. The band members are very young and are therefore filled to the top
with motivation. This can very easily be heard in their music. Don’t forget
to listen to the sound samples! The band members are:
Born in 1990 Lisa is the youngest member of the
band. After studying the piano for several years
she started playing the bass in her mid-teens. In
her hometown Hamburg she played with several
jazz bands. She also did a recording with the NDR
BigBand. Since 2008 she is a jazz bass student in
Prof. Detlev Baier’s class at the Hochschule für
Künste in Bremen. In Holger’s FabFour she plays
the acoustic and an electric 5-string bass.
Holger’s FabFour drummer was born in 1987 in
Kiel. In his early teens he played along to a lot of
pop and rock music. He also was very interested in
HipHop for quite some time. He became a member
of various jazz bands. In 2007 his band “Rhythm
Combination and Bones” played at the JazzBaltica
music festival, sharing a stage with Nils Landgren.
After a year of military (music) service he became
a jazz drumset student at the Hochschule für
Künste in Bremen where he was working with
Wolfgang Ekholt. In just one year he became a
very demanded drummer in Bremen. Since autumn
2009 he is a student of Prof. Jo Thönes in Weimar.
Born in 1983 Alex is the “oldest” member of
Holger’s FabFour. He started his musical eduction
playing classical piano. Later his interest in pop
and rock music grow. Since today he is a member
of a “Doors” tribute band. He further became
interested in jazz piano and  successfully
auditioned for the jazz piano class of Joe
Dinkelbach at the Hochschule für Künste in
Bremen in 2007. In Bremen he became a member
of several musical projects and bands.
In 1984 Holger was born in Lübeck/Germany. At
the age of seven he started to play the drumset.
Later he became a member of a percussion
ensemble and got to know all the mallet
instruments. In 2005 he began his studies at the
Hochschule für Musik in Detmold. He studied
classical percussion with Prof. Peter Prommel. He
became more and more interested in jazz music. In
2007 his band Groovin’ Breez played at the
JazzBaltica festival. Since October 2008 he is
studying jazz vibraphone at the Hochschule für
Künste in Bremen with Prof.Florian Poser.
