“24 hours” with Ruven Ruppik and the Tchiki Duo
In July 2009 Holger presented his arrangement of
Wolfgang Haffner’s “24 hours”. He performed it
with the Tchiki Duo (marimbas) and Ruven Ruppik
(percussion). The video was filmed by Peter
Prommel during a live performance at the
“Marimba Days Detmold”.
“Perpeto” with Fetmold aka Fuse Trio
In May 2008 Holger recorded this video of Knut
Hagedorn’s composition “Perpeto”. It presents the
musical ability of the trio and the nature of their
music in a very good way.
“Question and Answer” - vibraphone solo
Holger has always loved the music of Pat
Metheny. In this video he presents his own
vibraphone solo version of his favourite Metheny
piece “Question and Answer”. Have fun watching!
“The Swan of Tuonela” with Alex Wulf
In 2008 Groovin’ Breez guitarist Alex Wulf and
Holger met in Detmold to record their version of
Achim Rothe’s arrangement of Jean Sibelius’ “The
Swan of Tuonela”. Watch their meditative
interpretation!
“Airegin” with Femold feat. Alex Wulf
Watch a very straight forward version of the Sonny
Rollins classic performed by Fetmold aka Fuse
Trio feat. Alex Wulf.
“Terzani” with Alexander Kohrs on piano
In June 2010 Holger presented this piece in his
final exam in Detmold. The Joe Locke tune is
taken from Holger’s FabFour repertoire and
rearranged for the duo by the two performers.
Enjoy the tune and especially the two very
contrasting free solos!
“Pinzin Kinzin” with Holger’s FabFour
This piece was a challenge for everyone in the
band! The constantly moving downbeats can give
you headaches... This live recording was taken
from Holger’s final exam in Detmold on the 22nd
of June 2010. Enjoy it and - don’t miss the count!
